She won the 2020 Borsod-6 by-election to preserve Fidesz's constitutional two-thirds supermajority, nominated to replace her deceased father in a heavily personalised campaign. She secured her mandate on an uneven media playing field where government media deployed all resources to frame the race in Fidesz's favour. As a young Fidesz MP, she supports the continuation of illiberal constitutional and electoral rules that entrench the ruling party's dominance.
