Dániel Bohár is one of the most visible faces of the Megafon Center, operating at the front line of state-backed influence operations on social media. He is a regular participant in sponsored disinformation campaigns targeting opposition figures, the European Union, and the war in Ukraine, with activity that intensified sharply in the run-up to the 2024 European Parliament elections. Tens of millions of forints were channeled into emotionally manipulative 'war-scare' videos and smear content distributed through his platforms, reaching millions of views during the campaign period. An EDMO investigation found that sponsored disinformation ran rampant in Hungary during the EU election campaign, with Bohár's content playing a central role — and noted that social media platforms profited significantly from carrying it.
