He was recorded telling newsroom staff that "this institution does not support the opposition alliance" and that their job is to help the government. He uses his show "Világ" to praise government policies and attack perceived enemies such as Soros. During the 2022 elections, he openly agitated for the government on air on the eve of voting using a taxpayer-funded channel. This has made him a symbolic figure in the reduction of public media to a party propaganda tool. His conduct fundamentally violates the principles of journalistic independence and public service media.
